摘要：

By superposition of a continuous discharge and a pulsed discharge in low-pressure gas, in a novel configuration, a 60 A/30 ns, 0.3 m long, 2 mm wide electron beam is generated. The absence of a high vacuum system, the separation of the active region from the walls and its easy axial access are the major advantages of the device.
