摘要
The problem of diffraction of a plane wave on a metamaterial grating for two polarizations is solved in a rigorous mathematical formulation using the permutation duality principle. The main attention is paid to the study of plasmon-polariton resonances on the metasurfaces of the grating and to the elucidation of their role in the phenomena of total reflection and transmission of the wave for the Epolarized field. The existence of high-Q surface plasmonpolariton resonances at the boundaries of grating layers providing total reflection or transmission of the wave through the grating is established
