摘要
Optimisation in perioperative care of the obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) syndrome Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) syndrome is a pathophysiological entity belonging to sleep and wakefulness disorders. It represents a preventable risk factor for many postoperative compli-cations, which are mainly related to the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Systematic screening for OSA should be encouraged during preoperative anaesthesia consultation in adults. In this article, after a brief review of pathophysiology, the authors will successively describe comorbidities and postoperative complications related to OSA, its screening (from predictive scores to polysomnography) and the treatment of OSA. All these points will be addressed to propose a rational and original model for the perioperative management of OSA.
