摘要
Fault-tolerant flux-switching permanent-magnet (FT-FSPM) motor incorporates the merits of high fault-tolerant capability and high torque density. In order to evaluate the fault tolerant ability of two FT-FSPM under open circuited fault, two remedial current methods were proposed. Namely one is based on equal current amplitude, and the other is to minimize the stator copper losses. The principle of both strategies is to keep magnetic motive force unchanged. The simulation and experiments are performed to predict their torque performances, and their fault-tolerant operations are compared and discussed.
