摘要
Pseudoscalar axions in the mu eV to meV mass range make for a natural dark matter candidate and may be detected via the Primakoff effect. The Axion Dark Matter Experiment (ADMX) was designed to use a tunable microwave cavity immersed in a strong static magnetic field to resonantly convert dark matter axions to detectable microwave photons. Here we will describe the ADMX detector and the results of its axion dark matter search along with proof of principle searches for other exotic light bosons such as chameleon particles and hidden sector photons.
