摘要
Sarcomas constitute less than 1% of all primary cervical malignancies and affect young patients. They originate from the mesodermal tissue and are rapidly growing tumors. Cervical sarcomas tend to present at an advanced stage and have a worse prognosis than squamous cell carcinomas. Treatment strategies range from radical exenterative surgeries to more conservative options, like polypectomy followed by chemotherapy in young patients to preserve hormonal, sexual, and reproductive functions. We report three different histological subtypes of cervical sarcoma. The first patient was an adolescent girl with embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma of the cervix, which was managed with local excision of growth followed by adjuvant chemotherapy. The second case reports a perimenopausal woman who presented with cervical leiomyosarcoma and underwent radical hysterectomy followed by adjuvant chemotherapy. The final case report summarizes the management of a low-grade endocervical stromal sarcoma in a premenopausal woman who underwent total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. Given the rarity of these tumors, there is a lack of consensus regarding management. The report aims to add knowledge of the natural history and management options in these rare neoplasms.
