摘要
In this paper, we study the approximate message passing (AMP) detection approach for beam indexed spatial modulation (BISM) in mmWave massive MIMO system. The spatial modulation (SM) technologies provide flexibility in adjusting the system parameters to achieve spectral efficiency or energy efficiency. This paper presents a BISM scheme based on the concept of SM and beamforming technologies. The AMP detection is studied for BISM with the symbol vector composed of modulation symbols and null symbols. Our results show that BISM has better BER performance than MIMO-BF, and the AMP detection is feasible to detect BISM signal. We provide a decision rule for BISM to choose the most suitable detection methods at different situations.
