Cyano-bridged chalcocyanide complexes based on the cubane-like cluster with mixed cluster core {Re4S4-xTex}

Three new tetrahedral chalcocyanide cluster compounds [{Cu(en)(2)}(2)Re4S3.83Te0.17(CN)(12)](H2O)-H-. (1), [{Zn(en)(2)}(2)Re4S3.60Te0.41(CN)(12)](.)3.75H(2)O (2), and [{Cu(dien)(NH3)}(2)Re4S3.45Te0.55(CN)(12)](.) 3H(2)O (3) (en = ethylenediamine, then = diethylenetriamine) have been synthesized by reaction of the water solution containing salt-like cluster compound K4Re4S4-xTex(CN)(12) (.) nH(2)O (0 < x < 1) with aqueous ammonia solutions of CuSO4 (1, 3) or ZnCl2 (2) in the presence of polydentate ligands such as ethylenediamine (1, 2) or diethylenetriamine (3).
