Study of the frequency dependence of magnetic permeability in the eddy-current inspection of thin ferromagnetic materials

摘要
It is shown that the magnetic properties measured by superimposed eddy-current transducers on ferromagnetic materials in the form of flat-rolled products (plate, sheer, strip) differ appreciably from the analogous properties of massive specimens studied previously. Theoretical and empirical relations are obtained to express the frequency dependences of the signal from such transducers as well as the ones of the components of complex magnetic permeability for different materials when their thickness is varied.
