摘要
The interaction of cement kiln dust and simulated acidic groundwater (pH = 3) contaminated with benzene were studied. FTIR results showed that cation-pi and H-bonding interactions had a major role in the removal process. The concentration of benzene in the effluent water and hydraulic conductivity of the continuous experiments was used to evaluate the performance of permeable reactive barrier for 60 days. The increase of CKD improves the performance of the bed with efficiency ranged from 40% to 90%, but clear decrease in the hydraulic conductivity was observed due to the accumulation of the benzene in the beginning of the barrier.
