The application of the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in hydrogen evolution electrodes

摘要
The A.C. Impedance technique is applied in the present work on both Rany Nickel electrodes and Plasma sprayed cathodes in an alkaline electrolytic cell for mechanistic understanding of the hydrogen evolution processes in this system. The experimental impedance data were successfully simulated and analyzed using the EQUIVCRT program and the equivalent circuits of the investigated electrodes were achieved. The significant parameters of the proposed circuit like the charge transfer resistance (R(ct)), the double layer capacitance (C-dl), the Warburg impedance (W) and the Pore resistance (R(ads)) as well as the pseudo capacitance (C-ads) were obtained and discussed. The temperature effect on these significant parameters was also investigated and analyzed.
