摘要：

Based on the theory of sustainable development of construction project, the concept of total cost of construction was introduced in this paper. Then, the model of social cost indicators as a result of construction-related adverse impacts was established. The calculative methods of social cost indicators were also briefly described. Finally, the suggestions and measures of reducing the social cost were presented. The quantifying social cost associated with construction can develop the current project management and promote sustainable development of construction project.
