摘要：
The molecule of the title compound, C28H28Si2, occupies a special position on a centre of symmetry. It adopts an E configuration about the central C=C bond, with an Si-C=C-Si torsion angle of exactly 180 degrees. Weak C-H-...pi hydrogen bonds and van der Waals interactions determine the crystal structure.
