Green wireless communications has recently attracted a lot of attention. Most recent work on green wireless communications focuses on energy efficiencies and sustainable/renewable energies. In a broader sense, however, green wireless communications could also include wireless communications using environmentally sustainable materials, occupying less land space, accompanying less electromagnetic pollution, together with waste recycling and reducing wastes, and cost reductions. © 2012 IEEE.
