Simultaneous determination of inorganic anions and cations by capillary electrophoresis

The use of capillary electrophoresis (CE) for the simultaneous separation of inorganic anions and cations is reviewed. An extensive part of this review is devoted to the CE principles that are proposed for the single-run separation of oppositely charged analytes. Detection and preconcentration techniques used in such separations are also briefly discussed. Special attention is paid to precision problems arising when double-side electrokinetc injection is used. Finally, applications of the surveyed CE techniques are covered.
