摘要
This study develops a signal processing chain for a joint communications and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) ground moving target indicator (GMTI) radar receiver. Communications signals and radar returns are simultaneously received within the same spectrum. The system must discern the transmitted message while also estimating parameters of a target being observed from the reception. Ground clutter interferes with both functions. By taking advantage of the angle-doppler response characteristic of clutter, this interference can be suppressed. Some communications capacity is sacrificed to permit GMTI radar functionality, which operates as if the communications user was not present.
