Analyses of learning styles in a group of tertiary students

This paper presents the results of research focused on mapping and analyzing the learning styles of a selected group of university students. The basic aim of the research was to determine the learning style preferences among college students, namely at the master level students of the Pharmaceutical Faculty of Charles University in Prague, the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Science, University of Hradec Kralove. The research method used was a qualitative processing of the results collected from prof. Felder's standardized ILS questionnaire Part of the paper contains the suggestion of how to apply the acquired knowledge in practice.
