The trial was carried out in years 1990-1994 in strong virus hazard conditions. Sprinkling influence of potato disease appearance on 12 potato cultivars was investigated. Sprinkling decreased virusal infaction of potato tubers by PVY, PVS and PVM, but not influenced on appearance of black scurf and PLRV virus. In very dry years sprinkling increased, and in wet years decreased appearance of common scab. It was found different infestation of potato cultivars on tested viruses. The mean virusal infaction of potato cultivars, which were reproducted from superelite for 2 years under sprinkling conditions were respectively: PLRV -3,7%, PVY -47,6%, PVM -11,8% and PVS -33,1%.
