Contradictory observations in beam-foil EUV spectroscopy at high ion energies

Recent beam-foil measurements on intercombination transitions in the spectra of Al- and Si-like ions of Xe and An corroborate some earlier systematizations and indicate inconsistencies in others. The status of data on low-lying levels in Mg-, Al- and Si-like ions is discussed.
