摘要
Modern methods of humanitarian research are often focused on reinterpreting long-known sources. From this point of view, a type of text such as obituary attracts special attention. This form of publications about death (and about life too) is generated by a whole complex of causes in the Modem Era related to political, economic, and social changes as well as a change in the individual and their worldview. This paper explores the diversity of approaches to the study of obituaries and the potential value of included content.
