摘要
The aim of the present work is to upgrade the functionality and applicability of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) composites by means of a blending technique. Fragrant ABS composites were prepared by adding a fragrance into the ABS matrix. It was found that the volatility of the essence was greatly affected by the nature of the essence, the environmental temperature and the polymer matrix. In addition, the impact strength and yield strength decreased gradually with increasing fragrance content, but the processing properties were improved rapidly and rate of elongation at the break increased rapidly. The fragrance of the fragrant ABS composites could be maintained for a long time at room temperature.
