摘要
Typical mechanical equipments are series system composed of different components. Conventional system reliability model, developed with the underlying assumption that component failures are independent of each other, is not applicable to this kind of systems in which the statistical dependence among component failures plays an important role. The present paper presented a model to estimate planetary gear box reliability by incorporating order statistics of component strength into load-strength interference relationship. By a unification treatment to the different load imposed to the individual components, the load-strength order statistic interference model was extended to deal with the reliability of system composed of different components and the components are subjected to different loads.
