摘要
WebQuest instructional strategy has been recognized to be an effective learning strategy for decades. Teachers encourage students to participate in the process of searching for knowledge, reorganizing the information they have found and evaluating their performance on different topics in web-based learning environment. In addition, self-regulation issue is always the crucial key to a successful WebQuest learning activity. In this study, we aimed to investigate that students' self-regulation ability will be encouraged in context-aware ubiquitous learning environment by situating the students and helping them to learn in the real world. WebQuest has seldom been applied to second-language course. Therefore, this study will conduct a WebQuest context-aware ubiquitous leaning activity for English course on the campus. Three language learning tasks will be conducted in the playground, resource recycling dump and library. The students in the experimental group will be asked to find knowledge of English teaching content and use this information to finish WebQuest learning task in the real environment, while the students in the control group will learn through general mobile English learning system. After finishing the learning activity, the students' learning performance will be evaluated accordingly.
