摘要
The effect of phloroglucinol on shoot bud elongation in Capsicum annuum L. cv. Super wonder was investigated. Capsicum is recalcitrant to response under in vitro conditions and elongation of regenerated shoots has also been reported to be difficult. Shoot buds were induced from cultured cotyledons on medium supplemented with 22.2 mu M BA and 5.7 mu M IAA. The regenerated shoot buds were further elongated in the second stage on the shoot bud elongation medium containing 0.87 mu M GA(3) and 39.64 mu M PG, where the elongation occurred up to the shoot length of 4.5 cm. Healthy elongated shoots were transferred for rooting on MS medium supplemented with 2.46 mu M IBA. The well-developed plantlets were transferred to greenhouse and then into the field.
