摘要
The contributions of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Ingo Müller to thermodynamics are discussed. Prof. Müller can justly be called the founder of extended thermodynamics, the advantages of which are many. Prof, Müller extended the Coleman-Noll approach for exploiting the entropy inequality. It is due to his efforts that thermodynamics of mixtures is no longer a controversial subject.
