摘要：

The incidence of pressure ulcer problems continue to increase substantially. The proposed system would prevent pressure ulcers by alerting the patient or caregiver to a potentially harmful level of pressure that could lead to irreversible tissue damage. Analysis from two different animal models are presented. Measurement results show that rate of sampling of contact pressure with real time measurement and communication can eventually alert a caregiver to a condition requiring intervention.
