摘要
The main objective of English teaching in colleges and universities is to actively cultivate college students' abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing and especially be committed to cultivating good abilities of reading and writing of college students. In English teaching, listening and reading belong to input skills, while speaking and writing belong to output skills. Writing can promote the comprehensive development of language skills of learners. It can thus be seen that writing plays an extremely important role in English teaching in colleges and universities. This paper analyzes the status quo of teaching of college English writing and puts forward some countermeasures for improving college English teaching.
