摘要
This paper proposes a broadcast method for mobile ad-hoc networks based on hexagonal tessellation. In order to reduce frequency of retransmission of packets, nodes located near corners of hexagons are permitted to retransmit packets in this method. Additional information for this method is just positional information of a source node. No beacon packets are required. Each node decides themselves whether nodes have to retransmit the packet or not by using positional information of the source node and theirs. Experimental results show that the proposed method works well in the situation where density of nodes is high.
