Analytical solution to a notch tip field in rubber-like materials under tension

摘要
The large strain field near a notch tip in some kinds of rubber materials under tension is reinvestigated. The completely analytical solution of the mapping functions are obtained for both expanding sector and shrinking sector. The stress singularity is expressed by notch angle precisely. This solution is derived from a typical elastic law but it is proved to be valid for a wide kind of rubber material. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
