In situ growth of layered double hydroxide films under dynamic processes: Influence of metal cations

摘要
Layered double hydroxide (LDH) films which were supported by anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) substrates have been fabricated via an in situ growth method under dynamic process using different metal cations, such as Ni2+, Zn2+, Mg2+, and Cu2+. The structure, morphology, and surface area of the LDH films were investigated. The results showed that the type of metal cations had great influence on the growth and crystallization procedure of the LDH crystals, which led to the different structures and morphologies of the LDH films. Among those metal cations, only the use of Ni2+ cation can succeed in obtaining the LDH film with high surface area which is as almost 7 times as that of AAO substrate. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V.
