摘要
Objective: The objective of this paper is to forecast the future of psychiatry in the first world in the next 20 years. Conclusions: There are no indications that psychiatry might significantly change in the near future. Yet two factors affecting today's psychiatry will most likely become more pronounced in years to come, first, the shrinking of psychiatrists' domain, and second, the declining interest in psychiatry among medical graduates.
