摘要：

Pyrazoles, oxadiazoles and triazoles bearing benzo[b] thiophene moiety have been prepared starting from 3-chloro-6-methoxy-1-benzothiophen-2-carbonyl chloride. All the newly synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, H-1 NMR and mass spectral studies and screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activities.
