摘要
alpha-Al2O3-t-ZrO2 nanopowders were prepared by calcining an emulsion precursor obtained by mixing oleic acid, aluminium nitrate and zirconium chloride oxide octahydrate in aqueous solution. Batches of the precursor powders were calcined at different temperatures and a terminal product of nano alpha-Al2O3-t-ZrO2 composite powders were obtained at 1100 degrees C for 2h, indicating that the overall process is effective. The average grain size as determined from TEM varies between 20 and 50 nm. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
