摘要
S500MC steel with a thickness of 6mm was welded using high power fiber laser-hybrid welding method, The microstructure and mechanical properties of the welding were studied. The results show that no defect welding can be achieved by single-face laser-arc hybrid welding at laser power of 3.0kW, welding speed of 1.0m/min, arc current of 270A and single-face laser welding with filling wire at laser power of 3.5kW, welding speed of 1.0m/min, respectively. The tensile strength of welding was bigger than 607MPa, fracturing in base metal, 180 degrees cold bend without any cracks in weld metal, and charpy notch toughness of welding at -20 degrees C was bigger than 60J, the maximum hardness of welding was about 297.5HV in the fusion zone of laser welding with filling wire. All the mechanical properties of welding can meet the welding technical requirements of S500MC steel.
