摘要
Bimetallic: Upon irradiation with light in the phototherapeutic window, the bimetallic complex [(bpy)2Os(dpp)RhCl2(phen)] 3+ binds to and cleaves DNA through an oxygen-independent mechanism. PCR is used as a model for in vitro DNA replication. The results show that the metal complex does not interfere with DNA amplification in the dark without O2, but completely inhibits DNA amplification in samples exposed to red light.
