The concept of a comprehensive arthroscopic management (CAM) of symptomatic glenohumeral arthritis can delay the necessity for implantation of an endoprosthesis. It is clinically proven and yields good results in a young patient subset. It is well documented that shoulder arthroplasty in young patients under 55 years old demonstrates poor patient satisfaction. Therefore, this minimally invasive procedure might be an alternative treatment option to a prosthesis as long as the indications and limitations are considered.
