This paper describes a new forgery attack on the group-oriented (t, n) threshold signature schemes proposed by Wang et al. Our attack is more fundamental than Tseng-Jan's attack in the sense that it cannot be recognized or blocked at the designated clerk level of the signature schemes. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
