Effect of gastrectomy on gastric myoelectrical activity by multichannel electrogastrography

摘要
The aim of this study was to determine whether differences in myoelectric activity arise as a result of vagus nerve-preserving distal gastrectomy (VP-DG) as opposed to standard distal gastrectomy without vagus nerve preservation (DG). Twelve healthy volunteers and 23 patients who underwent VP-DG and 13 patients who underwent DG were investigated. The percent normal (the relative time share of normogastria) of ch1 VP-DG group was higher than that of DG group in fast state (p=0.01) and fed state (p=0.02). The VP-DG group exhibited better preserved gastric myoelectric activity than the DG group did.
