摘要
Results from a large scale test performed on the Micro-Strip Gas Chambers developed for the CMS experiment are reported, Irradiation, close to the expected LHC background, was provided by a low energy (350MeV), high rate (6kHz/mm(2)) pion beam at PSI. Excellent performance of the detectors was obtained using solutions specific to the demanding radiation environment.
