摘要
Nowadays, the increased demand for electricity is driving power companies to expand the capacity of electrical generating to utilize localized distributed generation (DG) based on renewable energy technologies regarding their economic and environmental advantages. The interconnection of DG in distribution networks (DN) may cause a miscoordination between fuse and recloser due to additional fault current contributions from DG's. In this paper, emulating fuse-recloser adaptive scheme to prevent recloser-fuse miscoordination is implemented. An adaptive adjustment of recloser setting implemented using instantaneous overcurrent element in presence of DG is proposed to address the problem of fuse savings. The proposed planning has been implemented in ETAP on a typical medium voltage distribution network. Pre-set multiple group settings considering different DG capacities are calculated. This simplified network validated the reliability of the DN.
