摘要
Building the right team is vital for the success of any project in an organisation but many organisations today are faced with the problem of selecting the right mix of individuals to form a team. This process is often performed manually based on personal sentiments, while some automated approaches use normal database queries to assign individuals to tasks based on limited knowledge dimensions such as technical skills of the person without considering the importance of team compatibility (personality types). Thus, this work proposes an approach that embraces more knowledge dimensions like capability, history, personality and context to team selection using semantic case-based reasoning methodology. We present the design concept of a tool that will apply intelligent reasoning for the selection of team members based on specified task requirements through the reuse of previous knowledge or experiences. The tool will provide a platform that will speed up the selection process and also provide a more robust basis for selecting ideal individuals given the criteria for a particular team.
