摘要
The perspectives of using stable rupture of a horizontal ferrofluid layer lying on a liquid substrate as a "plane" analogue of the gas bubble in the magnetic fluid for investigation of its deformation in a magnetic field are estimated. For this purpose the evolution of the bubble shape and layer rupture in the uniform tangential magnetic field is compared. The applicability boundaries of such an approach are defined. The obtained data are compared with the results of early studies.
