摘要
Numerical relay protection devices (NRPD) consist of many digital and analog components which make influences on the NRPD failure rate and reliability. Monte - Carlo simulation allows us to determine sophisticated system element characteristics looking over working conditions. NRPD project stage simulations make faster and more precise element characteristic assessment. The method allows to calculate not only NRPD failure rate, but also its confidence region and maintenance condition.
