A thermoelectric study of the KSbMoO6 (KSM) ionic conductive ceramic was done. In the study, the variations of permittivity and dielectric loss with temperature were recorded. Four fundamental effects were detected: two in the range 50 - 200 degrees C which are attributed to the dehydration of the material, and two related to phase transformations above 200 degrees C. The enthalpies Delta H involved in the processes are reported. The thermal behavior was also studied by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA). A coincidence between the thermal and the electrical technique was observed. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
