摘要
The present text explores the distant origins and the long evolution of the toponym of Morocco, al-Maghrib, according to its territorial and human dynamics since the 6th century BC. BC until the XVIIIth century. To do this, it is based on an impressive mass of documentary lined with archaeological and numismatic sources, they are ancient (Greek, Punic and Roman), medieval, (Latin and Arab,) and finally modem, mostly European.
