Flow-injection method of spectrophotometric determination of catecholamines in pharmaceutical formulations

摘要
A simple, high-performing method of spectrophotometric determination of physiologically active catecholamines has been developed, which is based on the oxidation of these substances to the corresponding open-chain o-benzoquinones under the action of the hexachloroiridate (IV) or permanganate ion in a flow-injection system. The method has been successfully applied to the individual determination of catecholamines in pure forms and pharmaceutical formulations.
