摘要：
It is proved that the singular third-order boundary value problem y''' = f (y), y(0) = 0, y(+infinity) = 1, y'(+oinfinity) = y"(+infinity) = 0, has a unique solution. Here f(y) = (I - y)(lambda)g(y), lambda > 0, g(y) is positive and continuous on (0, 1]. The problem arises in the study of draining and coating flows. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd.
