摘要
Fast neutron interrogation system (FNIS) based on an associated particle imaging method (APIM) using a neutron generator with an imbedded alpha particle detector is one of the perspective methods for detecting hidden hazardous materials. The operation system in this study is being simulated by using the MCNPX Monte Carlo code to study different inspection geometrics, shield loads and explosive materials. The results of the simulations for determining the signal to background noise ratio and resolution of explosive material are presented
