摘要
The present paper follows closely the emerging trend of developing solutions that can replace the existing combustion engines in the automotive industry. In addition to the existing skills published already, the paper details the itinerary of the process, starting from the concept, following with the design, validation via simulations and experimental tests of the proposed solution. This is based on a switched reluctance machine together with its proper power electronics and wise control strategies in that diminish the drawback caused by the machine's torque ripples. The contribution of the paper to the actual status of the research in this field is the complete solution of switched reluctance machine extendable to any ratings that are demanded by the automotive industry.
