摘要
Gold thin film of 1,3,6&10nm thickness was deposited on the glass slide and absorption spectra were measured in UV-Vis range. It has been observed that as the thickness of the gold film increases the absorption peak shifts towards the higher wavelength side. Also, thickness of gold film introduces the morphological change in these nanoparticles. Nanoparticles became more elliptical as the thickness of the film increases which was observed as the increase in the separation of peaks associated with longitudinal and transverse mode in the absorption spectra.
